The Boxing Lesson cover Jefferson Airplane, ‘Brighter’ video teaser
By now, I’m sure you’ve downloaded your copy of Austin Sound Check’s Feedback Vol 1. (hint, hint) The Boxing Lesson’s Dark Side of the Moog is the first track on Feedback, and for good reason.
This trio’s brand of modern psych rock is infectious. Ethereal, fuzzy guitars, pleading vocals and tasty electro elements all combine into a sound that will take up residence in the darkest recesses of your mind. The intro to Dark Side of the Moog is only the beginning. I also recommend Muerta, Freedom and Wild Streaks & Windy Days (which shares it’s title with their album).
The Boxing Lesson recently recorded a cover of Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit in a Bionic Ear Session. You can download the recording on their MySpace page. The video is below for your viewing pleasure, as well as a teaser for their upcoming stop-motion video for Brighter.
