The Band of Heathens | Austin’s “Best New Band”, New Album in Stores Today

The Band of Heathens first came together at Austin’s legendary Momo’s in 2006. Since then, they’ve added a rhythm section, released two live albums and won several awards at 2007’s Austin Music Awards; most notably Best New Band.
This year, The Band of Heathens is releasing their highly anticipated first studio album, a self-titled work that hits store shelves today. I’m not a huge fan of country music, but The Band of Heathens brand of country infuses some tasty rock and blues guitar riffs that will please even the most cynical listeners. But you don’t have to take my word for it. Below are two tracks from their new album for you to sample, free of charge.
