Imagine Pink Floyd got together with Shiny Toy Guns and produced an indie-rock love child. That love child would be called The Boxing Lesson.
The Boxing Lesson is an Austin-based three piece, consisting of Paul Waclawsky, Jaylinn Davidson and Jake Mitchell. Formed by Waclawsky after moving to Austin from L.A. the band has built a solid reputation in town, gigging at venues like Emo’s, The Parish and Beauty Bar. Their brand of pychedelic electro-pop is definitely familiar, but also progressive and innovative, mixing Waclawsky’s vocals with Davidson’s backing harmonies.
