Austin Sound Check

Austin is abuzz this week with good local talent and formidable roadshows alike. It’s the end of an era with the closing of The Backyard’s original location, but there’s a couple epic shows lined up at the venue which promise that The Backyard will go out with a bang.

Uh Huh Her, the electro pop duo comprised of Camila Grey and L-Word phenom Leisha Hailey, has announced an 18-date North American tour beginning in October. The tour will stop in Austin on October 20th at The Parish before heading to the Northern US and Canada.
Tickets are going for $15 and are available through Frontgate Tickets.
Uh Huh Her’s debut full length, Common Reaction, dropped last week and charted at #9 on Billboard’s Heatseekers. The video for lead single Not A Love Song and full tour intinerary are below for your viewing pleasure.

As the beginning of SXSW Music draws near, I’m scrambling to finalize some sort of list of the bands I’ll be seeing this year.
