ACL 2009 Lineup Announced

The Austin City Limits Festival announced it’s 2009 lineup, which includes all the acts we’d previously leaked, as well as many more.
Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Beastie Boys, Kings of Leon, Thievery Corporation, John Legend, Ghostland Observatory, Sonic Youth, Mos Def and The B-52s are all confirmed from the lineup, just as our source confirmed.

On The Road With Lions

Lions have posted the first in a series of video tour diaries. The Austin natives have experienced increasing success after their song Metal Heavy Lady appeared on Guitar Hero III. Following that up with national tours supporting Local H and Toadies, Lions are poised for bigger and better things.
Lions latest album No Generation is scheduled for re-release on October 28. Austin Soundcheck will be bringing you a review of No Generation in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.

Just Announced: Riverboat Gamblers at Emo’s

Punk fans rejoice, Riverboat Gamblers will be playing Emo’s on Sept. 18th. The Night Marchers show was previously announced with an unnamed special guest. Tickets are $12 on Emo’s TicketWeb.
Riverboat Gamblers are playing the final night of a two-night stand with Toadies tonight at Stubb’s.  The band’s new album was recently recorded in L.A. and is currently in post-production.

Toadies Hit The Road | Announce Expanded Tourdates

Recently reunited Toadies are set to hit the road again this summer, including a date at Stubb’s. Ticket’s for the show went on sale June 6 and are surprisingly not sold out yet. Toadies announced an extended touring schedule today, including Lollapalooza and Dia De Los Toadies, which will also feature Austinites Lions.
Tickets to their September 3 show at Stubb’s can be purchased on the Stubb’s website and are going for $25. Full tour itinerary is below along with live video from the Toadies show at Austin Music Hall in 2007.
