The legendary producer Quincy Jones has been announced as the keynote speaker for SXSW’s 2009 Music Conference.
Jones’ numerous credits include 79 Grammy nominations. He is best known as the producer for Michael Jackson’s album Thriller. Over the span of a clearly iconic career, Quincy Jones has also worked with Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Donna Summer among numerous others.

With this weekend’s Thriller world record attempt, it seems the entire city of Austin has Thriller on the brain. Including Mayor Will Wynn and local DJ Car Stereo (Wars).
