Austin Sound Check

The week of weeks is finally upon us. The week in which the entire world of music descends upon Austin and we’re left with some very hard decisions about what and who to see. So many bands and a relatively short time in which to see them, including both SXSW and non-SXSW events.

Texas Rockfest has announced additions to their previously announced lineup. Highlights of the additions include locals Built By Snow, Grady and Sounds Under Radio amongst many others.
The festival runs concurrently with SXSW from March 18-21 in various venues and several outdoor stages in downtown Austin. As always, Texas Rockfest is free, with no badge or wristband required for entry. You can get more details on when and where each of these bands will be playing on the Texas Rockfest website.

Texas Rockfest, the long-running, fiercely independent counterpart to SXSW, has announced it’s 2009 lineup. Highlights include Broken Teeth, Dead Earth Politics, Dremnt the End, Flatfoot56, Full Service, and Petals. You can view the complete list of all 123 bands after the jump.
Texas Rockfest runs from March 18 – 21 in Austin, coinciding with SXSW. This will be the festival’s tenth year. Visit Texas Rockfest’s Website and MySpace for more information.
