The 2008 Fun Fun Fun Fest lineup was released yesterday evening on Austinist.com. Check out the full lineup included stage assignments here. Tickets are $59.99 for a two-day pass. That’s a slight increase over last year, but not bad at all.

This week’s recommended shows run the gamut of genres. However, 90’s throwback of the week goes to Lisa Loeb, who is performing at Cactus Cafe on Wednesday. It was a close contest between Ms. Loeb and Rancid. Lisa won in the end, due to a more intimate venue and cheaper ticket prices.

Shearwater will take the stage at The Parish on May 29th for a very special performance. They will be performing their new album, Rook, in it’s entirety along with a string quartet, woodwinds, trumpets and a harpist. Shearwater recently performed a similar show in NYC to rave reviews.
