Driver F’s new album Chase the White Whale is ten tracks of pure alt-pop goodness. What will ultimately win you over is the pleading, love-stricken vocals that are reminiscent of Jimmy Eat World. But vocals is where the JEW comparison begins and ends, as Driver F very effectively incorporates a horn section (trumpet & trombone) that will please fans of 90’s ska. Elements of pop punk create a very peppy, upbeat sound that Driver F executes very well. I highly recommend Suncrusher and Two Words, Mr. President… Plausible Deniability.
