Austin Sound Check

The week of weeks is finally upon us. The week in which the entire world of music descends upon Austin and we’re left with some very hard decisions about what and who to see. So many bands and a relatively short time in which to see them, including both SXSW and non-SXSW events.

Our friends at Austin Town Hall are throwing a pretty swank SXSW Day Party this year. Taking place March 21st at the history eastside venue Victory Grill, the lineup includes exciting bands from Austin and beyond.
Each band on the lineup puts their own spin on indie pop rock and makes it something special. While I make it my standard practice to avoid local bands during SXSW (I can see them the other 51 weeks a year, right?), I must recommend Whitman to anybody traveling to our fair town for the conference and festival.
