The Black & White Years had arguably the best SXSW of any band, local or otherwise. They won five Austin Music Awards, including Best New Band, Best Rock Band, Best Song (Power to Change), Best Bass Player (John Aldridge) and Producer of the Year (Jerry Harrison).
The band also played a multitude of showcases during SXSW and were interviewed by Toby Ryan of 101X. Check out the video above, including live performance footage.

Roxwell has posted some great live footage and an interview from Kings of Leon’s performance at Austin Music Hall on October 27th. The interview was done by local DJ / celebrity Toby Ryan. Live footage features My Party, Molly’s Chambers and Razz.

Shearwater performed their song Rooks live on 101X yesterday morning. I have to applaud the station for going out on a limb with Shearwater. Rooks is a refreshing change of pace from the mainstream alt-rock diet that 101X usually supplies. Video below for your viewing pleasure.
