JellyNYC bringing a taste of Williamsburg to Austin

McCarren Park Pool Parties have become THE event to attend in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, NY. The unique outdoor concerts are the signature event of Brooklyn-based promoter JellyNYC.

M.I.A., Death Cab for Cutie, Gogol Bordello, The Breeders, Aesop Rock and Sonic Youth are all scheduled to play there this summer. Austin music fans, there’s no need to plan a roadtrip to Williamburg just yet.

JellyNYC has announced plans to bring a regular concert series like the McCarren Park Pool Parties to Austin. JellyNYC’s website touts their goal as, “building one of a kind experiences and memories for our clients and audiences.” JellyNYC previously hosted the Texas Garage during SXSW 2008, which took place on top of an unfinished parking garage attached to one of Austin’s ongoing condo developments.
