Full Service at Austin Reggae Fest, Taking over on 311, Snoop Dogg Tour
I’ll tell you right off the bat, I’m a long-time fan of Full Service. I’ve been seeing these crunchy rockers since their dreads were shorter and their tans were lighter.
Don’t be fooled though. They can slay with the best of them, even bringing out a killer Mastodon cover from time to time. I’d compare Full Service to a Sublime or a Slightly Stoopid, but listen to Battleship or Single Note Slayer live and you’ll be hooked for life. They played at Austin Reggae Fest last weekend. Check out the video highlights below. (Ed Note: Hi-Ho rules! It starts at 1:55)
They’re about to meet up with the 311 / Snoop Dogg tour and take it over in a way that only Full Service can. Complete tour dates are below, but you’ll want to visit them on MySpace and find out just how these local indie heroes are making it happen.

Totally agree. Full Service is a great band, and put on a helluva live show.

Having played a couple of shows back in the day (including a couple skater arenas!) and known these guys for a while now, they indeed well deserve every piece of this. Extremely talented song writing and execution in my opinion. These guys are ready for the big time, but I know they will always retain their mellow laid back Austintacious vibe. Way to go Full Service, super proud of you guys!! I will be there to cheer you guys on!

Hold on a sec.
I’m not sure they’re actually going to be playing the Backyard shows in Austin. It’s not listed on their webpage or myspace page.
