Exit Fest | Patrice Pike, Cruiserweight, The Boxing Lesson & More
July 5th at Waterloo Park, Exit Music Group presents the first annual Exit Fest (aka Born on the 5th of July Fest). Featuring a lineup of great local talent, confirmed acts include Patrice Pike, Cruiserweight, The Boxing Lesson, Skyblue72, and Black & White Years.
Skyblue72 is a relatively unknown band, but watch for big things from them in the future. They play Austin semi-regularly at clubs like Momo’s and Antone’s. The three piece pop rock band has garnered attention in their hometown of Houston, winning the 2007 Houston Press Music award for Best Pop Band. Lead singer Jessica Zweback provides a unique element to the band, as she mans the drums as well. Combine that with a clear drum kit that often has a string of lights draped over it and you’ve got a stage setup that is pretty eye-catching.
