Free Girl in a Coma Show Tonight at Mohawk
Girl in a Coma is far and away one of my favorite bands right now. The all girl three piece’s mix of garage punk and riotgrrl rock is simply irresistable. If you don’t believe me, check out GIAC’s free show tonight at Mohawk.
The show is sponsored by Remezcla, MySpace Latino and our friends at SaucidoSlant. The password to get in is “peligroso”, though I’ve heard rumors that nobody will be turned away at the doors, which open at 8pm. Get there early to check out Piñata Protest and Este Vato as well.
Girl in a Coma is showcasing at SXSW this year, which will be the band’s fourth appearance at the festival. Their sophomore album is also due out this year, which fans and music critics alike are eagerly anticipating.
