Win Tickets to Matisyahu at Stubb’s
Matisyahu rose to fame with his 2005 album Live At Stubb’s. Yes, as in downtown Austin on Red River, Stubb’s. It is fitting that Matisyahu has continued to show love to our fair city, and returned here on subsequent tours.
Matisyahu will be back at Stubb’s on Tuesday, November 11th, touring in support of his latest release Shattered. Future Rock and Heavy Pets will open the show. Austin Sound Check has a pair of tickets to giveaway for one lucky reader and a guest.

I like Matisyahu because he follows in the tradition of Bob Marley as someone who is comfortable with and very committed to their own spiritual perspective and who wants to share that with others without trying to force that understanding on anyone. Then that sharing becomes a gift rather than a judgment or a lecture or an attack.
Matisyahu has musically managed to cook up a unique blend of reggae, hip-hop, dancehall and jam band with an underlying message of positivity and mutual understanding.
He’s then invited everyone to the potluck to bring their own offering, share in all the food and leave feeling full and satisfied.
Plus all of my kids think he totally rocks!
