Win Ticket to Girl Talk at Emo’s
DJ Greg Gillis (aka Girl Talk) is slated to play Emo’s on Monday, October 20, along with Heart of Darknesses and Grand Buffet. The show is completely sold out and Austin Soundcheck has one ticket to giveaway to a lucky reader.
All you have to do to win is leave a comment here, telling me why you think you should get the ticket. The winner will be chosen and notified on Sunday 10/19.

…because I will be wearing an Austin Sound Check t-shirt at the show if you let me go.
Because I will dance more than anyone else you could possibly even imagine giving the ticket to!

Why should I win the ticket? Well, I love Girl Talk and have ever since Secret Diary. I have every album, I’ve seen Greg on two separate continents, and I still haven’t gotten enough. I’m sure there are plenty of people who love him just as much, but hey its worth a shot right? I’m too broke to buy overpriced tickets on craigslist. I live in San Marcos and I will probably be riding my bike to Austin unless you give me two tickets. In short (although I guess it’s too late for that) I just really need a ticket and I saw this as my last chance, so I hope thats enough for you.

Because it’s all I want for my birthday! which just happens to be at the stroke of midnight…right when Greg comes on.
I should win the ticket, as I have learned my lesson about waiting until “later” to buy tickets to shows I want to see.
Because I really don’t want to pay $70 on Craigslist for a ticket that originally cost $15.
I’m a college kid who couldn’t afford the $15 at the time and totally can’t afford the $50+ prices on craigslist. I just want to go and dance like there’s no tomorrow with a ton of other people who feel the same way. I mean if worst comes to worst I’ll just get drunk at home and play the albums really loud and pretend I’m there, but really it’s just not the same.
At every party me and my friends throw, we play nothing but Girl Talk because this is what gets the ladiez booty shak’n and gr gr gr grindin! I will break dance at this show if u let me go

Ana, I think we both know where I’m going with this. You want to give this ticket so someone who is going to have the time of their life.
