The Boxing Lesson Exclusive Swag Giveaway
It’s no secret that The Boxing Lesson is one of Austin’s local rising stars. Their album Wild Streaks & Windy Days has been warmly received by local critics and fans alike. I even featured their song Dark Side of the Moog on Feedback Vol 1.
You can win your own copy of Wild Streaks & Windy Days courtesy of The Boxing Lesson and Denny’s Allnighter. Also included in the prize pack are a signed drumhead and drumstick and a couple sweet t-shirts, all pictured below.
Denny’s Allnighter program is a pretty cool deal. The band hosts afterparties at Denny’s while they’re on the road and they get to eat for free. It’s tough out there for touring bands right now, so I’m glad to see Denny’s kicking in a little help keep our musicians fed.
So what do I do to win this fabulous prize pack, you ask? It’s simple. Leave a comment here, telling me why you love The Boxing Lesson. The most creative response will win. I will choose a winner next Thursday 8/28. Good luck and happy commenting!

I love their dream-esque, ambient sound, almost as if I’m on a journey wandering through the night. The use of moogs and guitars blend well with everything else, perfection!
I love it that Paul and Jaylinn have 20+ cats that they care for each and every day. And they rock!
No shit, 20+ cats!?!
I like that they have drawn what appears to be some cheeks and a gaping brown star on the practice pad that they all signed and are giving away.
Ok guys, it’s only 10 cats. Let’s not blow things out of proportion. haha.
Why do I love the Boxing Lesson?
It’s for the love of being swept up in the musical kaleidoscope they create.
It’s for the pureness of the way they expand your mind.
It’s for the moments that make you sing along.
It’s for the times when you don’t mind being alone.
It’s for all these reasons and so much more, that make me love the Boxing Lesson,
More and more and more….
I love BL cause they are unrelenting self promoters and know the value of their efforts. Sweat pouring off the brow kinda work – both on stage and off. A pure desire to succeed whilst not sacrificing sanctity and clarity.
I love your music plain and simple-and if Steven Wilson sugesta it you know it kills! Keep up the great work and I hope you’ll hit the East Coast some time!
P’s,
Mike
