Afrika Bambaataa at Beauty Bar this Sunday
One of hip-hop’s founding fathers, Afrika Bambaataa, is appearing at Beauty Bar with Starlynx, this Sunday, June 8th.
Bambaataa worked in the early days of hip hop in the 1970s and used it as a tool to decrease gang violence and bring people together. Bambaataa is considered a modern day musical revolutionary among his peers. He has worked with the Sex Pistols, been covered by Rage Against the Machine and was nominated to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.
