M.l.A. & Holy Fuck at La Zona Rosa
Last night’s M.I.A. show at La Zona Rosa was phenomenal. This was my third time seeing M.I.A. in less than a year and she has never disappointed. The sold out show was packed to the gills, eventually turning into a giant dance party.
Holy Fuck lead the night off and got the crowd popping. I wasn’t sure what to expect of the band, beyond the clever name but ended up being pleasantly surprised. Holy Fuck uses plenty of electronics, but they also have a good old-fashioned rhythm section comprised of drums and a bass guitar. It was electro done right, with a blend of instruments and no laptops.
