The Lemurs, Austin alt rock for the masses
I first told you about Austinites The Lemurs a month ago, previewing their SXSW showcase. If you weren’t lucky enough to have a wristband or badge and missed their show, this Thursday 4/10 is your lucky day. The Lemurs will be performing a free show at Mohawk.
The Lemurs have drawn comparisons to The Smiths and Bloc Party, all while touring and playing with the likes of Silversun Pickups, Stars, Britt Daniel (Spoon) and What Made Milwaukee Famous. If a resume like that isn’t impressive enough, The Lemurs single My Definition has been in solid rotation on local radio. The band also has a full length followup to 2006 The Lemurs EP in the works.
